Alot of people love to travel for the holidays but unexpected dangers can ouccor, the best way to prevent these types of dangers is the use of risk management. There are many steps to risk mangement and different dynamics to these steps but to keep it simple, Plan your destination, Ensure you have enough friends or family or have frequent rest stops along the way. Lock your house and make sure your car stays locked when you leave it . Do Not try to drive all the way to your destination with out stopping, Ensure that some one is awake to monitor you as you drive and always check the weather before you go. If it is possible that it may snow for example, pack blankets, Last but not least always have a first aid kit! These are a few things that may help you if you plan on traveling during your holiday.
If you dont plan on going to far here are some more things you want to take into consideration. If you have a Christmas Tree turn the lights off before you go to bed this can be the cause of alot of fires. Also if your going to friends house and you have had to much to drink dont get behind the wheel If you feel like you are intoxicated over the holidays please dont drive or call a Taxi cab.
